Larry Livengood, 83, of Overland Park, Kansas, died at home of Alzheimer’s on August 18, 2026. He was born in Salina, Kansas in 1943 to Forrest Byron and Mrytle May Livengood. Larry was a wonderfully caring husband and father.  Larry graduated from Salina High School in 1961 and Marymount College, Salina.  He continued his education by graduating with a JD degree from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. He practiced law in Salina for 25 years, before retiring to Overland Park in 2010.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, David Livengood.  Larry is survived by his wife of 31 years, Charlotte Craig and his two daughters, Susan of Salida, Colorado and Teresa of Mission, Kansas and his loyal and comforting friend, Joey.

 He served 4 years in the Army National Guard. After retiring from his law practice, he became involved in animal rescue, transporting terriers from Oklahoma to  the Wire Fox Terrier Rescue Midwest in Iowa. This involvement led to adoption of their first fox terrier.

Larry was cremated and wished no funeral/memorial services.
