Thomas L. Kelly, 86, of Kansas City, KS passed away Friday, October 31, 2025. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 AM, followed by the rosary and Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 5, at St Patrick's Catholic Church, 1086 N 94th St, Kansas City, KS. Entombment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to St Patrick's Catholic Church/School, Sisters Servants of Mary or Charity of your choice.
Tom was born November 20th, 1938 at St Margarets Hospital in Kansas City, KS to Leo and Emma (Miller) Kelly, the 9th of 11 children. Tom attended Elm Grove Elementary (a one room school house) followed by Bonner Springs Rural High School where he was nominated for Kansas State Farmer of the Year in the FFA.
He was a veteran of the Kansas National Guard. Tom spent his 37 year career with the IBEW Local 124 as an Industrial Wireman retiring in 2000.
Tom and Pat owned and managed rental property for over 30 years. He was a volunteer for Christmas in October with IBEW Local 124 and member of St Patrick's Catholic Church where he volunteered as a Collections Server for over 30 years, Knights of Columbus, Piper 4H Club Leader and Kansa City Barbeque Society.
His wife Pat worked for TWA which enabled them to travel extensively and locate family in Ireland and Australia along with trips to Disneyland, Europe and the Middle East.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings; Gene Kelly, George Kelly, Mary Gramlich, Eileene Landauer, Helen Mosher, Pauline Karnaze, Clarence Kelly and Dorothy Baker. Tom is survived by his wife of 63 years, Pat (Jones) Kelly, Son Kevin (Denette) Kelly, two grandsons Keegan (Ryen) Kelly, Neil (Kamber) Kelly, four great grandchildren Charlotte, Kallahan, Kayce, Declan, sisters Margaret (Rodger) Martin, Trish (Dick) Frey and many extended family and friends.
