Wayne spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend.  Wayne was a proud graduate of University of Kansas.  He went through a master’s degree program in mechanical engineering at Wichita State in Wichita, Kansas. While living in Wichita, he found the time to earn a 2nd degree black belt in karate from the Kansas Karate Institute. Wayne them moved to Commerce, Texas and earned a master’s degree in mathematics at East Texas State University.  Wayne was united in marriage to Robin Mount August 15, 1970 in Lenexa, Kansas and together they raised two children. He worked as an Aeronautical Engineer for 43 years in Wichita, Kansas, Seattle, Washington and Greenville, Texas.  Even though he traveled to many different countries with his work, he did not take time to see the sights because all he did was work the entire time. After retirement, he and Robin traveled quite a bit, especially cruises.  Some of his favorite cruises were Alaska and the Queen Mary 2 from South Hampton England to New York. No matter where he traveled, he was always happy to get home to Arkansas.

life-long friend ,Wichita ,Kansas

Wayne has been one of my best friends since 1961 when we met at Eisenhower Junior High School. I knew his parents and siblings as well. We both graduated from Highland Park High School in Topeka, Kan., and from the University of Kansas in Lawrence. I was a groomsman when he married Robin. Although I hadn't seen him in several years, I thought of him often. I'm so sorry for your loss, Robin. Prayers to you and your family.
