Mar 20, 1941---Jul 24, 2025

Judie Ann Rogge, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025. Born in Newton, Kansas to Oscar and Sadie Tieking, Judie lived a life rooted in faith, family, and love.  In 1962, Judie married the love of her life, Daniel S. Rogge. Together, they shared over 60 years of marriage, building a legacy of devotion and family before Dan preceded her in death.

Judie’s greatest joy was her family. She and Dan were blessed with 11 children: Laura, Barbara (Scott-deceased), Susan (Scott), Nancy (Ken), Dustin “Jim” (Amy), John (deceased), Tom (Rhonda), Mark (Cindy), Matt (Jill), Joe (Christine), and Peter (Stephanie). She was a proud grandmother to 42 grandchildren: Brian, Carol, Alex, Eric, Elizabeth, William (deceased), Matthew, Ben, Michael, Jacob, Sarah, Anna, Rachel, Paul, Audrey, Nickolaus, Lauren, Brittney, Christopher, Mary Claire, Ella, Theodore, Renae, Kristen, James, Mathew, Adele, Daniel, Megan, Jessica, David, Joseph, Joshua, Emily, Samantha, Maggie, Franny, Luke, Sadie, Abram, Janey, and Birdie. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to 10:  Allison, Max, Vera, Kinsley, Charlotte, Octavia, Elias, Hudson, Emery, and Evelyn.

She is survived by her sister Joyce Witsken (John), sisters-in-law Mary Rogge and Laura Warrender, and many nieces and nephews. Judie treasured her lifelong friendships, especially her bridge group which brought her joy and companionship through the years.

Judie had a gift for making everyone feel loved. Her kindness, strength, and faith were evident in all she did.

What a wonderful lady. I fondly remember the Rogge family from my years at St. Elizabeth as a young priest. Judie was always so calm, even in a crisis. In addition to Judie’s calm I remember Dan’s smile. My condolences to the entire family Rogge family. May our faith in Jesus’ resurrection give you consolation and peace in this time of sorrow and hope.

Many years ago I was a teacher at St. Elizabeth's and taught a number you Rogge children. Your Mom and Dad were so calm and wonderful to talk to about all of you! I was amazed how great you always looked and acted and told them so. I know they are and will be sorely missed by their great family. Rest in peace, Judie and Dan.

I met Judie and Dan in the mid-1970’s. I was one of the many recipients of Judie’s kindness, strength, and faith. Judie was a spiritual model for me, through the decades. Judie’s and Dan’s four daughters and older sons helped me when I was raising my children. I can imagine Judie with Beth Finn and Coly Bryant together in heaven! I am unable to attend the services, but will be with you in spirit, and saying my own rosary for Judie. May Judie and Dan rest in peace. My condolences to the entire Rogge clan.

Laura and family Your mom now is in heaven looking over all of your family. We were blessed families to have such wonderful parents who put their faith first and provided each of us children with a purposeful direction on our journey. I will miss celebrating a life well lived as my sister is just out of the hospital. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. May your mom rest in peace.

Judie was a remarkable woman who balanced raising a beautiful family, managing a home and being part of a parish family community. The Rogges were friends of our family (babysitters, classmates, sports). Judie will be missed but her love and ways will be carried forward by her loving children. Rodd & Martha Staker, Kansas City
