Mar 02, 1951---Jul 22, 2025

Rosemary Ann DiFelice Weber, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025 at the age of 74 in Overland Park, Kansas. Rosemary lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family and community, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Born on March 2, 1951, in Berwyn, PA, Rosemary was the daughter of Grace (Vallese) DiFelice and John DiFelice. She grew up alongside her two older brothers and lived two blocks from her grandparents, Pasquarosa and Pasquale Vallese.

Rosemary graduated from Conestoga High School and Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing, laying the foundation for a lifetime of caring for others. Her professional life was marked by her passion for nursing.

She met the love of her life, John Weber, while she was in nursing school. They were married on August 26, 1972, and together built a beautiful family, raising four children and later welcoming seven grandchildren. The family moved to Overland Park, KS, in 1982, where Rosemary dedicated 30 years to Johnson County Pediatrics as a pediatric nurse. She was treasured by her colleagues and patients alike, forming many lifelong friendships.

Beyond her professional calling, Rosemary was a great cook who delighted in preparing meals for family dinners and was renowned for her holiday soup, pizzelles, and homemade ravioli, Italian traditions that brought immense joy to those around her. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her seven grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Nanny." Nanny always embraced a chance to spend time with her grandchildren, whether it be babysitting, dance recitals, sporting events or band concerts. Rosemary's warmth and laughter filled her family's hearts with enduring love.

Rosemary and John were long-time members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Overland Park, where Rosemary served faithfully in various capacities, including CCD teacher, Eucharistic Minister, church cleaning volunteer, funeral lunch volunteer, and food kitchen volunteer. She assisted her husband in his leadership roles in the Knights of Columbus for 30 years. Rosemary and John also served as co-presidents of the Serra Club of Johnson County. Rosemary truly embodied the spirit of giving and service.

While Rosemary only had two brothers, she acquired many "sisters" throughout life: sisters-in-law Sally DiFelice, Eileen Cota and Jeanne Nguyen, and her lifelong best friend Gina Perz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a newborn daughter, Carolyn. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Weber; her children, Jamie (Scott) Karges, Katie (Steve) Tucker, Michael Weber and Elizabeth (Scott) Beslow; and her dear grandchildren, Vincent Jischke, Max and Abby Karges, Jack and Hudson Tucker, and Gracie and Elijah Beslow. She is also survived by her brothers, Jack (Sally) DiFelice and Rick (Roz) DiFelice. Rosemary leaves behind a family who loved her, friends who valued her friendship, and a life filled with faith, love, and laughter. Her memory will be a beacon of light for all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th from 2 PM to 4 PM at Porter Funeral Home 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS, with Rosary beginning at 2 PM. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, July 28th at 10:30 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W 103rd St., Overland Park, KS, with burial at Resurrection Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, The Association for Frontotemporal Dementia, or the American Diabetes Association.

Rosemary was such a dedicated nurse, and very loyal to Johnson County Pediatrics. I remember a particular patient who was diagnosed with diabetes during her freshman year in college. Rosemary had been diagnosed at about the same age and took a particular interest in counseling this patient. She was immensely helpful to both the patient and to me! I am very sorry to lose her.

To John & Family, Rosemary was such a wonderful woman! I am so sad to hear of her passing. I first met her at Johnson County Pediatrics where my two sons were patients of Dr. Nelson. She was the BEST! So grounded and wise beyond her years. She was the perfect pediatric nurse! That practice was so blessed to have her! Years later I reconnected with her at Holy Spirit Parish. We would catch up at parish events. She would always take time to visit with me. She will be dearly missed by so many!! Special prayers for all of you as you deal with losing her. But, if it’s any consolation, I know she went straight to heaven! Kathi
