May 14, 1978---Jun 03, 2025

Laurence Joseph Fleming, 47, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2025.

Born on May 14, 1978, in Denton, Texas. He graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1996 and went on to serve his country with honor. In 2001, he enlisted in the United States Army and completed a tour in South Korea before being honorably discharged with the rank of Private First Class.

Laurence was a man of many talents and passions. A gifted artist and lifelong animal lover, he brought creativity and compassion to all he did. He had a deep love for travel and was always planning his next adventure. A devoted reader, he could often be found with a book in hand, exploring new worlds through literature.

Above all, Laurence was a proud and loving father. His daughter, Teagan, was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment they shared.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Teagan; his parents, Mark and Linda Allen; his siblings, Tonya, Nathan, and Katheryn; and many adoring nieces, a nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Cure of Ars Catholic Church 9405 Misson Road, Leawood, Kansas 66206.

I’m so sorry to hear about Joey! He was a great guy! I will always remember the weekends at Tony’s Bar before it closed! The nights of karaoke and picking songs for him to sing! He will be deeply missed!

Thank you Uncle Joey for the years of putting up with us jumping on your bed to wake you up so we could play your Nintendo. Thank you for my addiction to Tetris. For the tradition of watching Boondock Saints on St Patrick’s Day. The laughs you’ve given the family. Our hearts are broken but as a family, we move forward with your memory to guide us along.
