Robert "Bob" Stephen Harr, Sr., age 70, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospice House with family by his side. He was born on January 1, 1955 to Dr. and Mrs. John L. Harr and was crowned "Little King New Year" by the Maryville Daily Forum.

Bob's love of sports began at birth, having been born during the Cotton Bowl, and continued throughout his life. He excelled in football, basketball, softball and tennis as well as riding in golf carts with friends. His love of the Maryville Spoofhounds, Northwest Missouri State Bearcats and Missouri Tigers was evident to all fans of various rivals.

He graduated from Maryville High School in 1973 and Northwest Missouri State University in 1977. His banking career, which spanned 40+ years, began in Maryville and led him to UMB bank after graduation. It was at UMB that he met his wife, Paula, who he married in 1981. They shared many friends in the banking world, both colleagues and customers.

Bob is survived by his wife, Paula; daughter Krista Harr of Mission, KS (Ryan); son Bobby Harr of Overland Park, KS; brother Pat Harr (Teri); sister Barbara Logan (Joe); brother Bill Harr; sister-in-law JoAnn Duggins and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. John and Helen Harr.

Paula - I so enjoyed working with Bob for many years at UMB. He and I started in the same year, but he was hired about a month before I was. For all of our 30 years at the bank, every time I would see him at one of the offices, he would call me "Rookie". Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Paula, I'm so sorry for your family's loss of Bob. He was a friend (and you as well). I remember when you were working for Mabe and you & Bob started dating. Bob was always friendly to me and down to earth. He actually cared. I remember the fun with Billie Ray when Bob came into the department. He was always wanting to have fun while at work. I also remember going to UMB functions and you & Bob were always friendly to me & Nina. He'll be missed! Tony
