Jul 16, 1962---Mar 31, 2025

David Anthony Hochard, 62, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025.  Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 17, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, KS.

A son was born on July 16, 1962, to the parents of Clarence and Evelyn Lustig Hochard. The name of this son was David Anthony Hochard. David was one of nine children.

After David graduated from High School, David enlisted in the US Marine Corp. During his tenure in the military, he became a Military Police serving alongside of former President, Ronald Regan.

David enjoyed everything that had to do with the military. Some of his favorite movies includes:

"We Were Soldiers"

"Zero Dark Thirty"

David enjoyed traveling, has a wonderful taste in music genres, and his favorite vehicle was a chevrolet or “anything American”.

David began his work career at General Motors in 1993. He retired after 31 years as a material handler in August, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Mark Hochard, John Hochard, and his sister Mary Boketo.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Sharda M. Holmes, his brothers Joe, Tom, and Steve Hochard, sisters Cathy Summers and Deborah Worthy, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

I thank you for helping me to celebrate the life of a wonderful son, brother, husband and an “unsung hero”.

Gone but will never be forgotten.

Dave was a great guy, he was always ready to help. I know he was a great help to me when I started in material. You had to stay on your toes around him because he loved to play pranks. I ran into shortly before he retired and he was looking forward to it. I am sad to hear about his passing. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.
