Hoan Pham died peacefully from complications of old age in the presence of all his children at his home in Overland Park, Kansas in the early afternoon of Monday, April 07, 2025. He had an extraordinary, family-oriented, Catholic life of more than 98 years. He was born on February 04, 1927 and grew up in Ninh Cuong - Bui Chu, Nam Dinh. In his early teen year, he enlisted in the army of South Vietnam in 1954. He married to Hoa Nhi Nguyen in 1955 and had 15 children.
After leaving the military, he and his wife opened a small general store in Saigon in 1973. He also worked on his farm in Bau Ca, Long Khanh until his land was taken by the cooperative. He retired in Saigon until he immigrated to the US and resided in Kansas. He enjoyed working in his garden and was very handy around the house.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, eleven children and their spouses, twenty- seven grand-children, and eight great grand-children.
A funeral mass will be held at the Church of the Holy Martyrs, 4101 E 105th Terrace in Kansas City, Missouri 64137 at 10am on Saturday, April 26, 2025. After the mass, the interment will be at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 8300 Quivira Rd, Lenexa, Kansas 66215.
