Michael L. Jaworski, 72, of Overland Park, KS, passed away peacefully Friday, April 11, 2025, at Saint Luke’s Hospice House.
Mike was born October 23, 1952, in Fort Riley, KS. He grew up in Fremont, NE and married his high school sweetheart, Peg on August 6, 1976. He moved to Overland Park, KS, in 1985. After many years working as a bank examiner for the FDIC, he retired in 2008. Mike loved to travel with his wife, family, and friends. His kids and their families brought him extreme joy. From building model trains in the basement with his grandchildren to visiting the blueberry patch, he cherished every moment with them. He also loved spending time on the golf course, out on his fishing boat, or relaxing at a campsite.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marilyn Jaworski. Mike is survived by wife, Peg (Wewel) Jaworski; daughter Tricia (Matt) McKim and son, Jason (Megan) Jaworski; his grandchildren Charlotte and Jake McKim, and Ben, George, Grace, Brooks and Luke Jaworski; and his sisters Cheryl (Butch) Seaman and Linda Jacobs.
The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W 103rd St, Overland Park, KS. A Rosary will precede the liturgy at 9:30 a.m. with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. Mike will be Inurned at Calvary Cemetery, 3400 E 16th Street, Fremont, NE.
