He never missed the daily paper or the news on TV.

I knew Peter from The Woodlands Race Track. I used to enjoy visiting with him about horse racing,as I was as big a fan as he was. So sorry to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace.

Pat and family, I’m so very sorry about Peter’s passing. He was so vibrant at our reunion in September! It was always a treat to see him and catch up. We grew up in the same neighborhood and I’ve know him since at least kindergarten, and maybe since Miss Christianson’s preschool. You and Peter built a life together filled with love and family. You all are in my thoughts.

Dear Pat, Several friends sent me Peter’s obituary. (Jean Shepherd and Barbara Edwards) I am so sorry. Peter was such a fun guy as were his parents. I don’t know if you remember me but I am the one that drove you 2 to Colorado Springs after your wedding. I can’t even remember why!!! Just wanted you to know I am thinking about you and your children. Sincerely, Jane Radcliffe

Dalton's mom ,Pocatello ,Idaho

Dear Pat, Though I never had the chance to meet Pete in person, I feel as though I came to know him well through the deep bond he shared with my son Dalton. They spoke almost every day, and I was often nearby, hearing their conversations filled with laughter, advice, and a shared love for horse racing. Pete became more than a friend to my son—he was a mentor, a partner, and a true father figure. Their connection ran deep, forged through countless shared moments through victories and losses, through dedication to the horses they loved. Pete's wisdom, steady presence, and unwavering support meant the world to my son. His passing has left a profound void. It was the hardest loss my son has ever experienced, and it has deeply changed him. I want to thank you, Pat, for all the kindness and support you’ve shown Dalton over the years. Your generosity, especially in this difficult time, has meant more than words can express. Please know how grateful we are for everything you've done and for sharing Pete with Dalton. He made a lasting impact, and his memory will live on through the stories, the horses, and the lives he touched so deeply. With heartfelt sympathy, Mary Ellen Hawk (Dalton Dieter's mom)
