Jul 07, 1941---Jan 28, 2025

Joseph Frank Tucker, 83, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away January 28, 2025, surrounded by family. Joseph was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, his legacy is one of unwavering loyalty, hard work, and deep love for those closest to him.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Rosemary, and his children: Jody (Cindy), Julie (Dave, deceased), Tony (Nettie), Jason (Natalie), and Jerome (Cassie). His sister Martha (Butch). He was a proud grandfather to Ashley (Ryan), Brittany (Beau), Austin (Kelsey), Tyler, McKenzie, Alyssa, Tony Jr., Courtney, Jack, and Leah, and a cherished great-grandfather to Brayden, Sophie, Ella, Beau Jr., Leighton and Knox. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Ruth Tucker; his half-brother, Jack Tucker; his in-laws, Herbert and  Loretta Bergman; and his grandson, Colin.

Joe was a 1959 graduate of Wyandotte High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy as part of the VP2 Patrol Squadron. He had a strong commitment to the Boy Scouts of America, serving in various roles throughout the years. A lifelong Teamster, Joe dedicated his career to the brotherhood, standing firm in his values. His loyalty ran deep, both in his work and in his relationships. He never wavered in his beliefs and carried a rare integrity that inspired those around him.

Joe found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, hitting the casinos for a lucky streak, hunting for hidden treasures among antiques, and, most of all, spending time with the people he loved. His sharp wit, strong will, and steady devotion to his family will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A service to celebrate Joe’s life will be held on Friday, February 7, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N. 4th St., Kansas City, KS.  Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. with the Memorial Mass following at 10:00 a.m.

In honor of Joe’s wishes, please, no suits or ties!

We have many fond memories of Joe, especially from the 23 years we were next door neighbors. He was always happy to share a meal with us. I’ve missed you all, since we moved. Your kids grew up with ours. We love you all, and our hearts are broken that Joe is gone. Many prayers for Joe and all of his family.
