Roger N. Tranckino, 91, McClouth KS, passed away Thursday, January 16th, 2025, at his home. The visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 30th at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 15440 Leavenworth Road, Basehor, Kansas, immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd. Leavenworth, KS.
The family suggests no flowers and suggests memorial contributions to Sisters Servants of Mary, 800 N 18th Street, Kansas City Kansas 66102.
Roger was born October 21st , 1933 in Fairmount MO., the first son of Leona and Rogers Tranckino but spent most of his adult life in Kansas City, Kansas.
Roger served in the Army from 1953 to 1955 where he was inspired by friends and superior officers to attend college after his discharge which he did at nights while working his full-time job.
Roger started out as a messenger for Commerce Bank but after a few years joined the Bond Department of City National Bank, (now United Missouri Bank). In 1985 he joined and helped establish the Bond Department at Country Club Bank from where he retired as Executive Vice President in 2005. He also served as President of the Kansas City Municipal Bond Club.
Roger was a member of Holy Angles Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard. Roger is survived by his brother, Robert, his loving wife of 70 years Helen of the home. Son’s, Stephen, (wife Judith) and Mark, (wife Patricia). Grandchildren, Ryan, Anne, Kristina, Michelle and Luke. Four great grandchildren, Riley, Kale, Rose Gayle and James and numerous nieces and nephews.
