Samuel Sutherland Zipf-Fisk a beautiful and tender soul, died on January 5, 2025. Our Dear Son, who is beloved by almost everyone who knows him, struggled heroically every day with the disease of addiction. And this makes him amazing.
With this Monumental burden on his heart and his shoulders, Sam managed to his electricians schooling and work in a trade that he loved and at which he was skilled; a testament to the strength of his mind and his determination. Sam was possessed of a fabulous sense of humor. He could let loose with a two-word quip that would have you crying with laughter. He was gifted with an ability to mimic and a graceful body that allowed him to tell a tale creating a vivid picture. He had a body that seemed to be made of rubber at times. He could dance up a storm. Sam was a kind-hearted person with a deep fondness for dogs. He leaves behind his two sweet and affectionate German Shepherds Ted and Jackson. He has a great love in Felicity Hendricks. Felicity loves and supported Sam through many years of pain and Triumph. Sam's mom and dad, Teresa and Mark love Sam and prayed daily for him to find his way to health. At all times remembering those many, many moments of joy.
Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 AM with the Funeral Mass following at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 27, 2025 at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9405 Mission Rd. Leawood, KS. Donations in Sam's name to: Mission Driven https://www.onamissionkc.org/
