Reed was born May 11, 1998, in Overland Park, KS to Kevin and Beverly (Kaiser) Winkley. He attended St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School, and Blue Valley Northwest High School. Reed graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Business Administration and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Reed relocated to Dallas, TX for his job shortly after graduating. In his free time he enjoyed working out and golfing with friends. Reed was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish and especially loved to hunt with his family. He became an accomplished duck caller, irritating most of the family with his practicing, and trained his rescue dog, Gypsie, to be an excellent bird dog. You could always count on Grandpa and him ribbing each other about who actually got the quail.
Before his passing, Reed worked as an Implementation Specialist at Blue Yonder. Reed was a humble young man who lived his life with integrity, honesty and love of family. He had a kind heart and was always ready to help anyone who asked. He will be greatly missed! He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ken Winkley and Delores Crow. Reed is survived by his parents Kevin Winkley and Beverly Winkley, brother Trey Winkley, sister Cara and her husband Christopher Haas with nieces Sadie and Hadley, maternal grandparents Don and Carol Kaiser and many extended family and friends.
