Oct 28, 2021---Nov 10, 2024

Caspian Wilder Vaughan, 3, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 10, 2024, after a brief illness.

Caspian was born on October 28, 2021, in Overland Park, Kansas, to Jordan and Amy Vaughan. The youngest of their four children, Caspian brought joy and smiles to everyone around him and had what was described by his family as “the best laugh.” He enjoyed music, playing guitar and drums, running, and playing soccer and basketball with his siblings and friends.

Sweet Caspian loved cars, playing with monster trucks, watching Kansas City Chiefs and Sporting Kansas City games, and curling up to snuggle and read books. A vibrant little boy always ready to laugh and play, Caspian loved his family and was genuinely happy all the time.

In addition to his parents, Caspian is survived by his sister, Skylar, and brothers, Jason and Ronan. Caspian was the perfect son and his family is so thankful for the time they got to have with him. They will never forget him, but they await the day when they will see him with Jesus.

A celebration of Caspian’s life will be held on Saturday, November 23, at Bellicose Church, 5100 Ararat Drive, Kansas City, Missouri.  Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with visitation and refreshments following services.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Vaughans and their children at https://bellicosechurch.churchcenter.com/giving/to/vaughan

Dear Vaughan Family, I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet boy. My heart breaks for you during this time, just as I know our Savior's heart is breaking also. I'm so thankful that, though we grieve, our grief is not without hope and the peace that passes understanding. Mark and I are praying for you, that you will feel God's arms around you, enveloping you in His love and comfort. In Him, Mark & Lynne Stroud "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13 (NIV) "Yet hope returns when I remember this one thing: The Lord's unfailing love and mercy still continue, fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise. The Lord is all I have, and so in Him I put my hope." Lamentations 3:21-24 (GNT)

Our prayers continue as we ask God to provide His comfort and strength and help as you experience waves of deep sorrow and sadness, far beyond what we can imagine.
