Kenneth Lee Malcolm, 79, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away on November 8, 2024. Born on August 8, 1945, in Kansas City, Kansas, Kenneth proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force K9 unit during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he became a dedicated meat cutter, a profession he carried out with pride for many years.
Kenneth had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and his lifelong passion for reading brought him great joy. He was a kind and loving father, grandfather, and friend, known for his quiet strength and steady presence.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Ann Kampmeier Malcolm. Kenneth is survived by his two daughters, Marni (Patrick) Mills and Megan (Monte) VanBuren; his grandchildren, Samantha (Kyle) Greene and Mason VanBuren; as well as numerous other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia Street, Lenexa, Kansas, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A private graveside service will take place at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
