William Wayne Whitacre, 91, of Olathe, KS, passed away on October 13, 2024. His graveside service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 18, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to his church, Fellowship Olathe.

Bill was born on January 24, 1933, in South Edmeston, NY, to Ralph and Theral (Spaulding) Whitacre. He retired from a career of project management in commercial construction, which took him from New York to Florida over a span of more than 50 years.

Bill is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Ellen Jeannette Whitacre; son Doug Whitacre and his wife Karen, Lenexa, KS; son David Whitacre and his wife Juanita, Bristol, IN; eight grandchildren and their families, including twelve great-grandchildren.
