Roger Mark Fallek, 76, of Leawood, KS, passed away October 11, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Roger was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1948 and graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1966. He then attended college at KU and Pittsburg State University where he received his degree in Bachelor of Arts and Business.
For a short while he worked as a chemist at Penn Central in Kansas City, Missouri and then joined the family business, Jim's Famous Rugs in 1971, becoming the third generation to work at the company that was started in 1903.
He soon opened his own businesses, Metro Leasing and Carpello. Working in the carpet industry and buying and selling cars was what he loved, especially using his creativity in making custom rugs. He always enjoyed helping everyone.
Roger enjoyed all sports, but especially golf and for many years he enjoyed playing golf and traveling with his wife Christina and her parents.
He will be greatly missed and loved forever!
He is survived by his wife Christina, a sister, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, a son, grandchildren, Christina's parents and a nephew.
The visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15 at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9405 Mission Rd., Leawood, KS. A private family burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Cure of Ars Catholic Church.
