Frederick Frank Zielinski, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away in Overland Park, Kansas on September 25, 2024 at the age of 82. During Fred’s last days, he was surrounded by the love of his wife, children, and the caring staff of Brookdale Clare Bridge.
Fred was born January 1, 1942 in Fisherville, Michigan to Frank M. and Victoria Seraphine (Latocki) Zielinski. Fred met his wife, Kathy, in St. Louis, Missouri, and they married on October 5, 1968. He and his wife, Kathy, raised their family in Chesterfield, Missouri. Fred worked as an Electrical Engineer for over 35 years, and enjoyed playing baseball and gardening. Fred was a former member of Ascension Catholic Church in Chesterfield, Missouri for 40 active years. Eight years ago, he and his wife, Kathy, moved to Overland Park area and became members of the Church of the Ascension. Fred was preceded in death by his parents. Fred is survived by his wife of almost 56 years, Kathleen M. (Sarhage) Zielinski; two children Christopher Zielinski, Raymore, MO and Ann Marie (John) Jeter, Garfield, AR; brother Ervin (Madeline) Zielinski, Fisherville, MI; granddaughter Taylor Kristine, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00 -10:00 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 2 at the Church of the Ascension, 9510 W. 127th St., Overland Park, KS. A luncheon will follow immediately after the Funeral Mass. The burial service will be at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa, KS following the luncheon reception.
