Clayton M. Ross Jr., age 90, of Liberty Missouri passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Liberty Hospital.

Clayton was born January 27, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of Clayton M. RossSr. and Naomi Stevens.  He graduated from Saint Agnes High School and excelled in sports, especially baseball eventually earning a try-out with the St. Louis Cardinals.  He worked at McKesson Chemical Company for 30 years as a truck driver in which he truly loved.  During retirement he moved to Tennessee and then to Florida enjoying golf and making many friends along the way.  Clayton returned to Kansas City to be with his 5 daughters and many grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Judy Ross. a daughter, Debbie Ross, grandson Jason Holt and wife Marilyn Cozine-Ross.  Clayton is survived by his loving brother Bob Ross and wife Margie, sisters Susie and Linda, four daughters and their spouses, Vicki and Woody Dunning, Kathleen and David Carter, Kristy Hinton, Judy and Fred Perkins along with 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
