Lindsay (Little) Mattix, age 41, Lenexa, Kansas, died on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, after a 3 year battle with breast cancer.  She was born at Reynold’s Army Hospital in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, the daughter of Sandy (Musick) Little and Jim Little.  Lindsay graduated from Laurens-Marathon High School in 2001.  She attended Northwest Missouri State University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in 2004 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2005.  Her perfect life included finding a partner and having children.  Chris, her loving husband, and her precious twins, Ally and Carter, made her world complete.  Lindsay lived a very full life though her time on earth was cut short.  She had a wonderful sense of humor, making those around her laugh – even when her own struggles were tremendous.  Lindsay was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021.  She rarely complained about her own struggles and showed great care and concern for friends and family.  Lindsay was a woman of strong faith and drew strength from supporting others who were fighting similar trials.  She is survived by her husband, Chris Mattix; her children, Ally and Carter Mattix; her mother, Sandy (Musick) Little; her father, Jim Little; her sister, Jenn Jepson (Michael Jepson); her nephews, Landon and Ledger Jepson, and her niece, Kendall Jepson; her brother, Jimmy Little; her in-laws, Mike and Lee Mattix; her sister-in-law, Rachel (Chirag) Patel; and her nephew, Avi Patel.  Lindsay was blessed with many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who showed her wonderful support and love during her cancer journey.  We are deeply grateful for all of the amazing healthcare workers and staff who provided such first-rate care at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City and the Saint Luke’s Hospice House.  Her oncologist, Dr. Timothy Pluard, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond, played a pivotal role in providing her with the hope and reassurance she so desperately needed during her fight against breast cancer.  Services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church located at 11100 College Blvd, Overland Park, Kansas.  A visitation and luncheon will follow.  The family welcomes donations in Lindsay’s honor to METAvivor and BABYQUEST Foundation.

Our deepest and most sincere condolences to all who loved Lindsay. We knew her as the cute little sister to Jenn and Jimmy. We recently rejoiced as she married Chris and had those adorable twins, Ally and Carter! She fought to stay with her family, but we hated how she suffered! We thank God for the amazing family time they enjoyed on the recent cruise. May God grant our prayers for comfort and precious memories to abound! Find peace in Jesus.

Lindsay my sweet beautiful brilliant niece, I would have gladly taken this cancer burden from you. You were such a blessing to your family and your sweet precious love for Ally & Carter was a part of every breath you took. Both you and Chris were such awesome parents. You have set your sweet babies up to forever remember how much you loved them and trust me we will never let them forget. You made everything in this life simple whether it was at your job or hosting birthday parties or going on trips. I guess life on earth was so easy for you God has more important work so you got yet another promotion. I have always been so proud of you and so thankful we got to spend a lot of time with all of you since you have been living in Kansas City. I will continue to honor your memory by sharing my love with Ally & Carter and supporting Chris as much as I can.
