Terry Lee Weiser, 70, of Topeka, KS, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024. 

Terry was born January 1, 1954, in Great Bend, KS to Bernard and Teresa (Boor) Weiser. He was a graduate of Washburn University where he earned both his Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degree. Early in his career, Terry practiced law as both a Kansas Public Defender and private practice law. He then transitioned to the insurance industry becoming vice president of sales and marketing for various companies. Later in life Terry worked as a consultant.

He was a member of the American Bar Association and was listed as a reputable insurance company executive and lawyer by Marquis Who’s Who.

Terry married Lynne (Jones) Weiser on June 8, 1974. They were married for 49 years before her passing on June 18, 2023. He was also preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Teresa Weiser, sister Lillian Weiser and brother Jerry Weiser.

Terry is survived by his children Abby Brianne Weiser, Topeka, KS, Terrence John Weiser (Lena), Dallas, TX, his siblings; Clete (Susanna) Weiser, Sharon (Bob) Bosch, Joyce (Gery) Hochanadel, Judy Thorp, Jeanne Spece, Cathy Weiser, Karen (Terry) Frederick, sister-in-law Nicki Jones and nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is also survived by his two dogs Cupcake and Boo.

Terry had a humorous nature and enjoyed teasing his family. He was a devoted father and husband whose passion in life was his family and his dogs.

Honoring his request, a cremation is planned. No services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Hospital and/or Church of the Ascension

Terry and I became friends through business relationships. He had been a true blessing to work with. I will miss our weekly and sometimes multiple weekly calls. Our hearts are with Abby and Terrance and all of his family. I will look forward to seeing him again one day.
