Sep 23, 1956---May 08, 2024

Ronnie Lee Bagby, 67, of Kansas City, KS, died Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family after battling lung cancer. Ronnie was born September 23rd, 1956 in Independence, MO, lived most of his life in Kansas City, KS and spent his final years in Tonganoxie, KS. He attended Washington High School as a part of the class of 1975 and earned his GED during his service in the Marine Core. Ronnie spent the majority of his life as the owner and operator of FlatLanders Concrete. He took pride in pouring thousands of driveways, sidewalks, patios, and basements throughout the Kansas City Metro.

Ronnie enjoyed attending and watching NASCAR races, car shows, and classic car auctions. Throughout his life he owned many hotrods, of those his favorites were his 1967 Impala, 1970 Chevelle SS, and most recently his 2008 Pontiac G8 GT. The true pride and joy of his life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ronnie was always a giver, enjoying what he could do for others more than what he could do for himself.

Often when he would reflect on his life he would say “I didn’t miss out on nothing, I have the best of the best” referring to the life he created with the love of his life, Kellie, and his children. Ronnie will be remembered for his whit, charm, and how easily he could make someone smile thanks to his infectious laugh and goofy grins.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and June Bagby, brothers Harley O’Leary, Gary Bagby and wife Kellie Bagby. He is survived by his 2 sons, Tyler Bagby (Anna), Jimmy Siefkas, (Shanna); 3 daughters, June Hammer (Jesse), Nichole Horner (Max), Elise Sellers, daughter-by-heart, Rhonda Hill, grandchildren, Kolsen, Kash, Olivia, Landon, Kadie, Logan, Ethan, Tristian, Tylor, and Sarenitty; Sister, Debora Orlando, and many nieces and nephews.

Ronnie’s Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 1st, 2024 at the Cider Hill Family Orchard located at 3341 N 139th St Kansas City, KS 66109 from 3p.m.- 6p.m.

The family would love to meet his friends from over the years and hear any stories and memories you have of him.

Beautiful obituary for you Dad. We were happy to have Kellie and Ronnie living next to Dad and Mom, then Chris. Ronnie was always there to lend a hand. When I was at Chris's settling thing we had several conversations. Stories of the boys and how proud he was. His joy was helping babysit. All the neighbors are back together keeping an eye on everyone. Praying for the family to find peace knowing the pain is gone. Love, JoAnn & John
