Christine was born July 8, 1949 to Helen P. (Roeschke) Wuebben and Reverend Harold W. Wuebben at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the oldest of six. Her father led St. Matthew’s in Eau Claire for 26 years. Chris attended Boyd Elementary, Eau Claire Junior High and Memorial High School in Eau Claire Wisconsin (Class of 1967). She took a job at Holmes Greep, a sewing notions dealer. She studied business at St. John's University in Winfield, KS and received an associates degree in 1969. She became a parish worker there.
From her first marriage, Christine had her only son, Matthew, in July of 1978. He was everything to her. She worked as an administrative assistant for BBDO Detroit in Kansas City, MO from 1985-2010. She also volunteered at Providence Medical Center. She met the love of her life, William Curtis Meyers, and they married on April 6, 1991.
She and her husband moved to Gardens Villas of Lenexa Assisted Living in 2016, then to Delmar Gardens Nursing Home in 2023. She suffered from dementia. She was resident committee president in both homes and sent birthday cards to everyone. She had a heart of gold, and loved to visit those in need of friendship. She loved the Green Bay Packers and hated the color pink. She adored feeding hummingbirds and was a meticulous record keeper with the prettiest handwriting.
Christine is preceded in death by her father, mother and brother, Mark A. Wuebben (Diane).
She is survived by her husband William C. Meyers of Lenexa, KS, sisters Rebekah L. Solberg (Robert) of Eau Claire WI, Deborah A. Schultz (Larry) of Bath PA, Mary L. Henke (Jonathan) of Kentwood MI, brother David P. Wuebben (Lisa) of Fall Creek WI, her son Matthew J. Garrett (Devina) of Eudora KS, and seven grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
