Apr 22, 1953---Feb 04, 2024

Patricia Yadon Keefer, beloved wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on April 22, 1953, in Topeka, KS, to Clare Elizabeth (Guth) Yadon and Myron E. Yadon, Pat embodied kindness, love, and a familial spirit throughout her life. Her radiant smile and sparkling eyes brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Kevin M. Keefer of Irving, TX; her sisters, Elizabeth J. Yadon of Auburn, KS, and Mary E. Thompson (Marc) of Auburn, KS; her brother, James L. Yadon (Mary Jo) of Topeka, KS; and her loyal husky, Luka.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Clare Elizabeth Guth Yadon and Myron E. Yadon.

Pat’s academic and professional journey began at the University of Kansas, where she earned her BA and subsequently attained her CPA certification, paving the way for a rewarding career. She and Kevin shared a deep faith, worshipping together at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Olathe, KS.

Pat cherished moments spent with her dog Luka, her family, and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.  She loved watching her beloved Jayhawks, Chiefs, Mavericks, and Cowboys.  She especially enjoyed coming up to her home in Lenexa to spend time with her brother, sisters, and nieces.    She loved her many cruises, travel adventures and flying with her husband throughout the years, creating many friendships through professional and personal contacts.

Memorial services will begin with the rosary on Monday, March 4th at 9:30am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 21650 W 115th Terrace, Olathe, KS, followed by visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:am, followed by lunch.  Lunch will be followed by graveside services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory can be made to the Lupus Foundation (http://support.lupus.org/goto/patriciakeefer), St. Paul’s Building Fund, or the Texas Husky Rescue https://texashuskyrescue.org/donate/, reflecting her compassionate spirit.
