I’m really sorry to have been out of touch for so long, but know that you all have been in my thoughts. I’ve been reminiscing about Uncle Hal. “Accidentally” falling in the pool several times every summer, his gigantic thermos full of scalding hot coffee, teaching me about pool maintenance, getting attacked by a squirrel, the way his belly moved up and down as he slept on the sofa, the funny faces he made. It’s odd what you recall about someone. He’ll be remembered fondly by a lot of people. I hope to speak to you all soon. -Scott

Hal was one of my best friends at Hazel Grove grade school. I remember when we were in grade school and he had a paper route. I used to ride my bike to his house and follow him around on his route. I lived on 66th Terrace, and I think he lived on 63rd. We played basketball together at Hazel Grove, and we were the starting guards 7th and 8th grades. Great friend and a great person!
