Jan 24, 1936---Dec 09, 2023

Georgia Ruth Hall, 87, died peacefully on Saturday December 9th, 2023 at her home in Osawatomie, KS. She was surrounded by her loving family when she went home to meet Jesus.  Ruth had a nearly 5-year battle with Alzheimer’s, fortunately, her daughter Patricia was able to be her primary caregiver during this time.

Georgia, known to those who loved her as Ruth, was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Grace Dawson, brother George Ray Dawson, husband Robert S. Hall and son William R. Hall.  She is survived by her children, Michael S. Hall of Osawatomie, KS, Kathleen Sue Quenzer and her husband Bruce, of Spring Hill, KS, Patricia Lynn Vaughn and her husband Steve, of Osawatomie, KS, daughter-in-law Patricia Hall of Osawatomie, KS. Five grandchildren including Christine Sneed (Jon), Shawn Quenzer (Molly), Stephanie Vaughn, Amanda Quenzer, Megan Wood and 8 great grandchildren. All of her family whom she dearly loved so very much.

Ruth was born in Scammon, Kansas on January 24, 1936. Ruth found the love of her life as a teenager and was married to Robert for 50 years. Together they had four amazing children. Ruth worked at Macys and Dillard’s for many years. More recently, Ruth enjoyed the retired life with her family. Her hobbies included decorating her home, painting every wall she could get her hands on, planting flowers, shopping, craft fairs, and trips to Branson. She especially loved her dogs, treating them as part of the family. She also spent time camping, playing card games and bingo.

She enjoyed singing especially to her grandkids. She always had a smile on her face

No one loved the holidays quite like Ruth. She loved to decorate inside and out and loved to have all of her family for food and festivities. No one could resist her homemade bread.

Ruth was the best mom, the most selfless, loving, woman. She was the heart and soul of our family. An angel for sure. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, great grandma, and someone we could always count on no matter what. We love you mom!

Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00am on Thursday, December 14th, 2023 and a Memorial Service at 11:00am at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Avenue, Kansas.  Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
