Although it's been many years since I saw her, I have fond memories of my "big cousin" when I was in grade school and she was a cool teenager. Sending my love and condolences to her family and friends.

Barbara “Bobbie Kay” was fun to be around. She was 4 years older and I got to hang out with her when our family visited from Illinois during the summers when I was a kid through my early teens. I have to thank Bobbie Kay, along with Bill and even the younger Chauvin cousins, Susie, Dennis and Mike, who filled my summers with adventure. I still wonder how I survived outdoors tag after dark and water skiing in the Ozarks. I didn’t stay in real close contact with Barbara, but she remains a valuable part of my life. I recently began honoring the memory of friends and family who have passed, by arranging to have a tree planted in one of our National Forests. Barbara’s Memorial Tree will be planted in the Coconino National Forest, very close to me here in Arizona, where she can live on in good health. Jane “Janie” (Freiband) DeMay
