The Reuter Family is celebrating the life of their loving mother and matriarch, Carol Theresa Reuter, who passed gracefully into the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 84 years of age.
Carol was a deeply spiritual woman with a radiant smile, and she filled the world around her with joy. She was drawn to everyone she met, and loved to gather people together, while she also quietly sought out and supported whomever she saw in need. In these ways she made long-lasting friendships, and she touched and inspired many around her. Carol’s family is comforted by the realization there is no longer any physical limitation on the extent to which she can share her loving-kindness.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM, Saturday, Dec. 9, followed by a Visitation at 9:45 AM, and a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 West 103rd Street, Overland Park, Kansas.
Carol was born March 16, 1939, in LeMars, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Deacon Tony Reuter, who she married on Sept. 27, 1958, and supported as a trusted partner in a farm and truck dealership in Carroll, Iowa, for many years. Carol and Tony had six children: Ray (Julie) Reuter, Michael (Angela) Reuter, Anne - deceased (Paul) Weber, Mary (Todd) DeFilippis, Therese (Michael) White, and John (Stephanie) Reuter. She deeply loved her family, which also includes 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. You can send notifications to daughter Therese White at tmd109@gmail.com
