I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Charles. It is ironic but I was thinking of him yesterday and all of the trips that he made to family functions over the years. I always enjoyed talking with him. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Greg Fry

I am sad to hear about this. Charles was one of the recruiters who brought me to Hallmark. He was a fine artist, art director, team leader: honest, caring, knowledgeable, easy-going. We were Facebook friends after Hallmark; his presence there will be missed. My thoughts are with Mary, his daughters, and their families. Rest In Peace, Charles. All of us in Licensing Design loved you.

Sad to read this news. We have been friends since our daughters, Sarah & Megan, became great friends 40 years ago. Always enjoyed chatting with Charles at Hallmark, or when we ran in to each other around town. He was such a nice guy, and so very talented. Hugs to the family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Charles' passing. I worked with him a few years and he taught me so much. I will always be thankful for the opportunity he gave me, giving me my first break after art school. I so admired his sweet gentle spirit. It was such a pleasure getting to know him and staying in touch years later. Mary, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family. Charles was a great man and will truly be missed.

I have known Charles for many years from Hallmark but mostly from the many art classes which we took together, including an art trip to Portugal. We were in many drawing classes together going way back to the Art Institute but mostly at the Buena Vista Studio. He was a wonderful artist and it was so inspiring to see his imaginative and creative drawings. He was also always so supportive of me and the other artists. He was such a good friend and always treated me and others people with kindness and respect. I will greatly miss him and all of his wonderful stories.
