David E. Talley, 81, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Providence Place.

David was born July 7, 194 Seth, West Virginia.  David settled in Kansas City, Kansas and married Sharon K. Wood in 1980. They spent their life in Kansas City, Kansas area.

David started his career CertainTeed Corporation as a mail clerk and after 20 years there he pursued a career in the maintenance dept of K-Mart, Home Depot and Walmart.

David and Sharon have been longtime members of Haven Baptist Church.  David had an interest in fire extinguishers and firearms. He was especially fond of cardinals and had a large collection of globes, pictures and statues of cardinals

David was preceded in death by his parents, brother and a half-brother.  David in survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon K. Talley.  They have many extended family members, cousins, nieces and nephews.  However, they considered their friends as their close family. 

David’s funeral will be held Friday, November 10, 2023 at 10:30am at Haven Baptist Church, Kansas City, Kansas.  Visitation will begin at 9:45am to 10:30am with service to begin at 10:30am at the Church.   Graveside services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens immediately after the service.
