Geneva Naomi Herring, 96, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 am followed by the Funeral Services at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 14, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, KS. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 3846 West 75th St. Prairie Village, KS 66208.

Geneva was born October 4, 1926, in Kansas City, KS to Harry and Naomi (Braden) Riedesel. She was a graduate of Washington High School. She was a member of Stony Point Christian Church for over 60 years and volunteered at Cancer Action for over 50 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond D. Herring in 2014. She is survived by her children; Dian Barnes, Sandy McCombs, Timothy (Linda) Herring, Sherri (Mike) Skinner, sister in law Joyce Thomas, brother in law Bill Thomas, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren, many nieces nephews and extended family.

Hey mom it's been a week now since you've been gone. I miss you so much. I know this was what you were waiting for to be reunited with dad and your family. I know you all are having a great time. Like Rob your nephew said you are probably up there mowing with your straw hat on getting the pasture ready for that ballgame. Everything was beautiful. You looked like you...beautiful lady.
