Mary H German, 82,  of Olathe, Kansas went be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Thursday, August 31, 2023.  According to her wishes, there will be a private graveside service in Chatham, IL.

Mary was born in Beardstown, Illinois February 3, 1941. Mary received her bachelors degree from the University of Illinois, Springfield and worked as an administrator for the Illinois Department of Mental Health for many years.  Mary’s life reflected a devotion to God and Family.  She moved several times in recent years to live close to children.  Those moves took her to Iowa, Florida and Kansas.  Mary had a no-nonsense approach to life and a keen and creative mind.  She will be remembered fondly as one who loved the unloved and sought to help those in need. 

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Lanny W German.   Mary is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. The family wishes to thank Evergreen Community of Johnson County KS and Advanced Hospice for their incredible, loving care and attention to Mom’s every need.
