Dr. Jeffrey A. Schreiber, D.V.M., of Basehor, Kansas, passed away July 19, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. The Rosary will be at 4 p.m. with the visitation from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, July 26th in the Little Church at the Holy Angels Catholic Church, 15440 Leavenworth Rd., Basehor, KS. The Funeral Mass will be in the Main Church at Holy Angels on Thursday, July 27th at 10 a.m. with a luncheon to follow in the Parish Hall.

Jeff was born in Oak Park, Illinois. His family moved to Wichita, KS when he was a young child. Jeff and his sister Cathy shared their love for horses by showing them alongside their parents throughout their adolescent years. After high school, Jeff continued his education as a proud Kansas State Wildcat. Between his sophomore and junior year of college, Jeff had an internship in Kansas City where he met the love of his life Linda K. Martin. They were married on April 17th, 1982, in Kansas City, MO. Jeff earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1981. He practiced in Kansas City, MO for several years before moving to Omaha, NE, where he spent much of his adult life. He, along with his wife, started Miracle Hills Animal Hospital, in 1991; a business they proudly ran for 27 years together. Jeff loved to golf any chance he could. Jeff and his family were members of Champions Country Club in Omaha, NE. He also was a fisherman, a hunter and a car enthusiast. He loved the Kansas State Wildcats, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Chicago Bulls. Jeff also loved to travel with his family. His two favorite destinations were football games in Manhattan and dog shows where he earned UDX with his beloved dog Reggie.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan McConnell Schreiber; his uncle Jim (James) C. McConnell; his grandparents Charles H. McConnell and Margery Annis McConnell; Grace and John Schreiber; and his four-legged companions Ace, Peaches, Valree, Raphael (yes, like the ninja turtle,) REGGIE, and Olivia.
He is survived by his wife Linda K. (Martin) Schreiber of Basehor, KS; his daughter Suzanne N. (Schreiber) McFadden and her husband Matt McFadden and grandchildren Ames, Savannah and McCoy of Olathe, KS; his son Spencer A. Schreiber, and his wife Victoria A. (Daher) Schreiber, and grandchildren Lyla, Amara, Norah and Liam of Basehor, KS; his father Chuck (Charles) A. Schreiber of Loveland, CO; his sister Catherine L. Schreiber and her husband Russell Lingham of Watchung, NJ.
His greatest treasures were his grandchildren who all made him a proud Papa.
