Martha Anne Auge, 72, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023.  Memorial services will be 1:30 PM, Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia Street, Lenexa, KS.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Alpha Delta Kappa Foundation.   

Martha was born December 22, 1950, in Chicago,  IL to William and Laveda (Cloud) Auge, Jr.  She was a Librarian for the Shawnee Mission School for many years retiring in 2013.  Preceded in death by her parents and sister Nancy (Auge) Welder. Survived by brothers William Auge III, Timothy Auge, Daniel Auge, sister Mary Auge Whitcomb, 11 nieces and nephews and extended family.

Best friends in high school and the friendship continued ,Cedar Rapids ,Iowa

I'm in shock. We just talked a few weeks ago. Memories of our any adventures over the years burn bright, including our Saturday Chicago trips when we were about 15 (in the context of today's climate, hard to belive our parents let us!). We'd hop the train in the morning and be home that night. We weren't able to get together a lot - last time was the class reunion- but I always knew she was just a phone call away.

I had the privilege to serve on many library committees and work on numerous library projects for Shawnee Mission Schools with Martha. She was a dedicated librarian who truly cared about her students. She will be missed by all who knew her. I just know Martha is now happily busy organizing God’s library or at least telling Him how it should be organized! May her family find peace and comfort knowing they are in the thoughts and prayers of many.
