John Wesley McGhee, 69, of Kansas City, MO passed away surround by his wife and family after a long and brave battle with cancer.
John was born August 24, 1953, in Kansas City, KS to George and Ruthie (nee Holland) McGhee.
John retired from KCP&L as a mechanic. He loved tinkering and working on cars.  When John was not working on cars, he was fishing, spending time with his family and watching his favorite T.V. shows like Gunsmoke & Bonanza. Johnnie was always there for anyone in need willing to help in any way he could at any time regardless of how he was feeling or what he had going on. He was the families personal GPS. Johnnie will be deeply missed by all those that knew him & loved him. 
John was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mickey, sister Patricia and grandson Earl Nunnelly. John is survived by his wife, Susan “Susie” (nee Yonkos) McGhee, children; Dione McGhee, John W. (Shamika) McGhee Jr., Martina McGhee; step children, Bobby (Johna) Matinez, Reanna Marinez, Regina (Andrew) Martinez – Spayd; siblings Deloris Watson, Joe Childress, Jimmy Childress, Calvin (Carol) Childress, Anthony (Patricia) McGhee, Steve McGhee, Gail McGhee, Shirley Ivy and a very large extended family with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
