Nov 25, 1951---Feb 27, 2023

Christopher Donald Boyle, 71, Shawnee KS, formerly of Wichita, KS, passed away Monday, February 27th, 2023 at his house in Shawnee.  Chris peacefully passed in his sleep and is now reunited with his wife Silvia and our eternal Lord.  Visitation and Funeral will be held at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa KS.  Friends may visit between 4:00-6:00pm Monday, March 6th.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 7th at 1:30pm at the Funeral Home.  Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Pleasant Valley Cemetery at 9501 W 159th St. Overland Park KS.

Chris was born November 25th, 1951, in Wichita KS.  He was the oldest son of Donald and Ellen Boyle.  He moved numerous places before settling in Kansas City to be closer to his children and grandchildren.  Chris had a passion for fishing, spending time with his family and anything that involved his grandkids, especially watching them play sports, and loved talking about his past as a young man and how he met the love of his life with his grandkids.  He was proud being drafted to the NY Yankees out of High School and was an all around  phenomenal athlete.  Most of all he was a devoted Husband, Father, Son, and Grandpa.  Of all his accomplishments throughout his life he would tell you that his family was the greatest of them all.

Chris was preceded in death by his wife Silvia and his Father and Mother Don and Ellen Boyle and his brother Ricky Boyle.  Chris is survived by his son Ryan (El) and their two children Ayden and Addison of Overland Park, Kansas and his son Cory (Tara) and their three kids Hudson, Romy and Gemma of Mission Hills, Kansas. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Oliphant (Larry) and numerous nieces and nephews.  Flowers and condolences may be offered at: Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS 66215.

Papa, you were the best Grandpa that a kid could ask for. You taught me everything about baseball, even though I am horrible at sports. You might not have understood what I was talking about when I talked about debate, but you were supportive, and I can't thank you enough for that. I will miss when you and I would drive out to McDonalds to get food for when we would have a sleepover. I miss you, and I will always love you. Forever rest in peace.

Chris was a wonderful devoted man. He loved his family and was always supportive. He gave guidance when asked and was proud of his sons and their families. Chris was always happy to send time with his grandchildren and invited them to sleepovers often. Yep, he spoiled them in the right way with love. He will be missed.

Dad, I don’t say a lot, but I think a lot. And, every minute of the day, I think about you. You taught me everything I know that actually matters. You made everyone you knew a better person. I always admired you. Thanks and I hope my kids do as well as you did in life.
