She was an amazing painter and artist. Jody’s flower gardens throughout her life were something to be truly admired.  She was an exceptional cook and baker and always had delicious food for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Phyllis Shanline. She leaves behind her loving children, Julie Kennedy, Dirk Kennedy and Valerie Kennedy. Her precious grandchildren, Jordan Mask, Eric Hampton (Morgan) and Kyle Hampton (Ginna) and great-granddaughter-to-be Hallie, as well as her five nieces and Shih Tzu, Sasha.

First and foremost, what a genuinely sweet lady. So many memories of her kindness. Second, while sweet is my first thought, Jody was such an incredible support to her kids and grandchildren. Finally, My thoughts and prayers to the entire family. Nanee would want positve thoughts. She would want to know you are all well and doing well. God bless to all the family.

Jody was my mother's best friend. They shared so many painting adventures over the decades and always had such fun together. Our entire family benefitted from their relationship. I think we all loved her as much as Mom. Won't be the same visiting Kansas City and not seeing Jody's beautiful face. She will be very missed. My family and I are thinking of Julie, Vali and Dirk and hoping their happy memories bring them comfort.
