Robert Lee Rose, age 84, was born August 6, 1938 to the union of Chester and Jenny (Ruzich) Rose in Kansas City, Kansas.  He was the eldest of two children and was educated in the Kansas school district and later graduated high school.   He was preceded in death by both his loving parents. 

 

Robert passed away peacefully January 14, 2023 at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri 

 

Robert dedicated his life to Christ at an early age and went to De La Salle Academy for men 10 years.  As a Catholic Monk, he devoted his life to helping others and teaching academics.  He also worked at Unity Village as a Food Service Director for 12 years before retirement. 

 

Robert leaves behind to cherish his memories his husband of 40 years together, and married for 5 years, Darryl McDaniel of Raytown, Missouri.  Also, one brother Ron D. Rose of Napa, California; one sister- in- law Tonya M. Hill of Overland Park, Kansas; one brother- in-law Byron R. McDaniel (Tameka) Olathe, Kansas as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

 

A visitation will be held from 11:00-12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2023 with a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 12:00 (noon) at the Porter Funeral Home, Lenexa, Kansas.  Graveside Services will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Raytown, Missouri.

 

Memorial Contributions may be made to Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.

The Lord has chosen to call Brother Robert home. The Lord giveth and the Lord Taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.l No one knows the hour; or the day he shall appear, but we know that he is coming back again. Brother Darry no one can ease the pain we feel when we lose a love one accept Jesus Christ himself. Lean on Jesus he will see your through. Brother Robert had a good name. Proverbs 22:1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches and loving favor rather than silver or gold.the rich and poor meet together the Lord is the maker of them all.
