He was preceded in death by his parents Cloyce and Marjorie Jones and grandparents WM.C and Katie Jones and Roy and Neva White. He was born on the family farm west of Bennington, KS on December 19, 1939.
Gail graduated Bennington High in 1957 when he joined the National Guard. He married his true soul mate, Pat in 1966 then went on to graduate Wichita State in 1970.
He was employed at Brann’s Furniture in Salina for many years before opening his own interior design business, Gail Jones Interiors. He was both gifted in his artistic design skills as well as being an astute business man. He lived most his life in Salina before moving to Lenexa in retirement to be with his immediate family whom he loved with all his heart and cared for deeply. Gail was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Salina before attending Good Shepherd in Lenexa, KS.
Among his many interests were his deep love for his family and making everlasting connections with everyone around him. Gail truly didn’t know a stranger. He loved his big band music and had his favorite artists. He enjoyed any and all decorating and painted large canvases which his house is currently adorned with. Gail cherished spending time with his favorite canine companion, George, who never left his side.
Gail was a devoted husband who never complained. He adored his wife, Pat, whom he put on a pedestal as she did him. They were everlasting soul mates married 56 years. My dad was the most caring, charming, classiest, smartest, loving, creative man we knew.
