Rick Allen Smith, 69, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away at his home on Monday, November 7, 2022. His family will host a memorial in the near future. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Harvesters. 

Rick was born February 22, 1953 in Osawatomie, Kansas, the third child of Howard and Dora Mae Smith. He graduated from Wyandotte High School and was a proud member of the steelworker's union for 17 years and of UAW Local 31 for 7 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Joseph. He is survived by his sister Karen Meiers and her husband Larry of Baldwin City, Kansas and his younger brother Walt and his wife Marsha of Kansas City, Kansas, as well as three nieces and two nephews.
