Marian G. (Wells) Castle, 89, of Kansas City, Kansas, died Thursday, September 15, 2022 at her daughter's home. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Services at 11:00 AM Monday, September 19, at the Victory Hills Church of the Nazarene, 6200 Parallel Parkway Kansas City, Kansas 66102. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the church.
Marian Gay Wells, only child born to Jack Baker Wells and Nellie Elizabeth Roberts, was born August 8, 1933 in Kansas City, Kansas. Marian grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Wyandotte High School, Kansas City, Kansas, in 1950.
When young she was baptized at the Grandview Park Presbyterian Church. Marian married William Lloyd (Bill) Castle, Sr. on the 24th of January 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri. They were the parents of four children; William Lloyd, Jr. (Rocky), Randall Eugene (Randy), Sandra Gay (Sandie) and Beckie Lynn. Marian and Bill made their home in Kansas City, Kansas and raised their family there. Over the years Marian worked at various jobs. At a very young age she worked in a movie theater as an usher. She also worked as a soda jerk in a Drug Store. She worked for Burdolski's Body Shop as a bookkeeper, P. N. Hirsch Department Store, The Presbyterian Manor and Riverview Green House. She retired in 1996. Marian was an avid gardener as she really loved flowers. She spent many hours on her family's genealogy. In later years she became an avid reader of nonfiction books. But most of all she was devoted to her family. She was always interested in all the activities of the little ones and loved family gatherings. She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, Bill, in 2009, sons Rocky in 1996 and Randy in 2011, infant granddaughter, Margaret Castle in 1975 and granddaughter, Heidi in 2011. Survivors include her daughters, Sandie Enloe and husband, Dave and Beckie Brownback and her husband Tom. She has 17 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren. In December she is expecting her first great-great grandchild. Also surviving are daughter's-in-law Martha Castle, Debbie Castle and Vickie Robinson.
