Rose Ann “Dani” Sixta Stratton Stolte died July 30th, 2022, at St. Joseph Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM, August 5, 2022, at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, Ks.
Dani was born August 5, 1930, in Kansas City, Kansas to Ernest and Elizabeth Sixta, the 9th of 18 children. She attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Bishop Ward High School. She worked for Security National Bank for several years and the Kansas Department of Human Resources for 25 years helping individuals find employment. She also worked on various political campaigns in Kansas City, Kansas including Joe McDowell, General Breidenthal and Robert Docking.
She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, playing poker with her sisters, slot machines, traveling to Las Vegas, Hawaii, and Seattle. Christmas was her favorite holiday, spending days before making fudge (which no one else could do as well as her). On July 4th she would buy the biggest M-80, put it in the middle of the street and see how many neighbors’ windows she could break. There wasn’t a person she met that didn’t like her.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters; Robert (Rosemary) Stratton, Barry (Bethel) Stratton, Mark (Pam) Stratton, Deborah (Connie Fischer) Stratton, and Beth (James) Stewart; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, sisters Rita, Bunny, Sylvia, Madonna, Pat, Peggy and Vickie. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her brothers and sisters, Buzz, Bob, Joe, Bill, Gene, Jack, Betty, Mary Lou, Arlene, and Judy.
