Mrs. Jan was a wonderful friend to me, a friend that had such a beautiful impact on me and my career pathway. She would give me the biggest hug every morning and some days I never knew how much it helped me through the day. I was blessed to have the opportunity of caring for her when she needed it the most. She was always so independent and put everyone else first no matter the day she was having. There was never a day where she didn’t make me or anyone else smile. She would help me bake, fold laundry, clean up after meals, etc. She never wanted to leave a mess and have someone else have to pick it up. I will never forget her loving self, she is someone I will always hold very close to my heart. I wish I could have had one more hug from her, she was a very great friend to me. I went to high school with her granddaughter Hannah, and that’s how I ended up putting two and two together over her having the same last name.
