May 28, 1928---Jun 14, 2022

Glenna E. Baird Fuller, age 94, passed away on June 14, 2022. She was born May 28, 1928, to Harry and Pearl (Wylie) Baird in Wayne, NE and was raised on a farm in rural Wayne County, NE. Glenna moved with her mother and her six siblings to Kansas City, KS when she was a teenager and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1946. She and Clinton L. Fuller, Jr. married on April 3, 1948, and they made their home together in Wyandotte County for over 50 years. The couple raised four children and enjoyed square dancing with the Merry Mixers, playing bridge, and traveling. Early in their marriage, they were members of Quayle Methodist Church, where they made lifelong friends with several other couples. They were later members of Grandview United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church. Glenna was always active in church in a variety of roles. She worked as a secretary for U.S.D. 500, spending most of her tenure at Washington High School until her retirement in 1993. After her retirement, she volunteered regularly at Providence Hospital. Clint passed away in 2000, and Glenna moved to Lakeview Village in Lenexa, KS in 2002. While at Lakeview, she was active on the Residents Council and volunteered in numerous capacities, including working in the library and the Care Center. She liked to keep busy, so making time for volunteering, spending time with family, and socializing with friends were priorities for her. She enjoyed a brisk walk and had a regular walking routine around the Lakeview property as long as she was able. She was the much-loved matriarch of her extended family as well. All who met her were impacted by her friendly nature and her boundless energy.

Glenna was preceded in death by her husband, Clint, and her son, Dan, as well as her six siblings. She is survived by her son Mike and wife Kim, her daughter Cindy Batliner and husband Gary, her daughter Jayne Hunter and husband Barry, and her daughter-in-law Donna Clark Fuller. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Sara Klinkenborg (Sam), Gary Batliner, Jr., Kevin Faddis (Julie), Andrew Fuller (Krista), Eric Batliner, Aaron Batliner, Erin Hunter, Landon Hunter (Jessica), and Jenna Hunter as well as her great-grandchildren, Spencer Meis, Emerald Batliner, and Benjamin Faddis, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Heritage Activity Room of Lakeview Village, Lenexa, KS. Lakeview strongly recommends face masks while on their campus and Covid testing prior to attending. Please allow a few minutes to check in upon entering the Heritage building.  Memorial contributions may be made to Glenna Fuller-Alzheimer's Association

Glenna was always a bright, cheerful, upbeat lady. Never ever saw a scowl on her face. Karon and I loved square dancing with her and Clint. Sorry to lose them both. They’re probably in a square right now with all our square dance friends that have gone before. Deepest sympathy and prayers for the family.🙏🏻🙏🏻

Glenna was the best of aunts. Thinking back to the 1950s-70s, when my generation were kids, our families shared a lot of vacation time and holidays. Glenna made the best green apple pie and knew fun songs like "Mairzy Doats." The following decades saw lots of family reunions as a way of staying in touch. Glenna was full of fun and energy, and always had a bounce in her step, a twinkle in her eye, and happiness in her voice. I can picture her and Uncle Clint dancing at their 50th anniversary party-a beautiful memory. Loved and cherished by the whole family, we all share in Mike, Cindy, and Jayne's sorrow. May God bless her soul.

We became friends with Clint and Glenna when our children went to school together and later when Jayne and I worked together at West Wyandotte Library. We were so happy to reconnect with Glenna at Trinity Church. She always met everyone with that amazing smile, a welcoming greeting offering a warm hug. She was loved by all of us who knew her there. She was most definitely one of God’s earthly Angels
