Dean hired me in 1994. I did my student teaching at Walker and he hired me right after. He always made sure I was taken care of. He was my second dad and I loved him like one. My heart is breaking and my hugs and prayers go to Charlene and the family for comfort. He was such a sweet, loving teddy bear of a man. He will be truly missed. With much love, Amy Willson Hamilton Flaming

He was my elementary school principal. I remember he always made a big deal out of our birthdays. Even after leaving elementary school, he remembered me, like a super power he had. Sincerest condolences to the family.

Dean Biles, outside of family, did more to form in me what it meant to be good, true and kind. He had a profound affect on so many. He knew how to teach from the heart and his laugh was infectious. There is literally not a single memory of all the days I remember under his leadership, where he was not the person you thought you should grow to be like… Thank you Mr. Biles!

My deepest sympathies to Mr. Biles' loved ones. Mr. Biles and I had maintained contact over the years, he had been my 6th grade teacher and I have many fond memories of his stern guidance and understanding. Particularly, his use of a big wooden paddle on me when necessary and I learned much from him. He introduced the concept of watching the World Series in class and I was shocked to learn others didn't consider the World Series with such high regard!! And sensitive, as even though we spoke on the phone, I would voice concern over his audible cough, his reply: "gotta die from something Mike!" and he continued to smoke but concealed any of his health issues. He seemed to find humor in all our conversations. I will miss our talks and rest assured that the world is a better place because of Mr. Biles. Rest in peace Sir!!

It seems like yesterday that I saw Mr Biles in Walmart-both of us grocery shopping…when he looked up and saw me, he recognized me right away and got a huge smile on his face. He immediately said, “Oh I remember you, always in my office (as he was my elementary school principal) getting the “paddle” because you were always such a trouble maker!” 🤣🤣 and we both laughed and he gave me the biggest hug! What a wonderful man - my thoughts are with all of you as you navigate your way forward 💔

Mr. Biles my favorite principal. I remember meeting him lining up for school in the mornings at McDanield and we were always so silly. I remember he would ask me to make this funny face and he would crack up everytime. He lived around the corner from my parents and even as an adult he would stil tease me and say something funny just like he did to when I was a kid. Glad to have known him he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Condolences and prayers to his family ❤

My thoughts and prayers are with the Biles family. Mr. Biles had a huge influence on my life and I am forever grateful. His teachings have impacted every facet of my life and have carried me through many challenges. I was lucky enough to have a little Ng conversation with Mr. Biles almost exactly one year ago. He called after the passing of my own father. I was very grateful for the call and enjoyed listening to all of his stories and appreciated the comfort he provided. I have nothing but fond memories of Mr. Biles. Thank you for sharing him with so many.
