Anita Elizabeth Uebelhart, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, 10:00am at The Church of the Nativity, 3800 W 119th Street, Leawood, Kansas. A Visitation will be held prior to the Mass beginning at 9:30am.

 

Through her marriage she was blessed with five children: Suzy Moore (Raymore,

 

Missouri), Cyndi Roth (Wichita, Kansas), Cris Goldberg (Orlando, Florida), Betsey Villarreal (Leawood, Kansas), Bill Uebelhart (Kansas City, Missouri), 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was a Nurse who worked in Kansas City and California for many years. She enjoyed tennis, playing Rummikub and seeing her grandchildren grow up. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to

 

Catholic Charity Kansas City, 4001 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, #250, Kansas City, MO 64130 or catholiccharitieskcsj.org/donate/. Anita will be buried in Dubuque, Iowa near her family. Her brother Father Ron Friedell will officiate the service.

we lost a gem! Anita was hard-working to help and serve others. I remember the gifts she gave me; Starting with Badger sweat shirt and several times traveling for summer camping. Lord, reward her with eternal life!

I visited Anita in the past month, and she was her usual feisty self, enjoying the facility she was at (but not necessarily the food!) It was a good conversation, and she seemed at peace. We certainly don't know when a person will leave us. I will treasure my last visit with her!
