Theresa Deamos passed peacefully in her sleep May 5, 2022 at her home in Prairie Village, Kansas after a long, courageous fight with cancer.
Theresa was born March 27,1935 in Kansas City Kansas to Irene Pullen Donohoe and John Francis Donohoe. She graduated from Bishop Hogan High school in 1953 and married Thomas R. Deamos in August,1953. A busy family life, with four children was complemented by a career in the banking industry.
Theresa will be remembered for her love of family. Nothing made her happier than family gatherings at “grandma’s house” for every birthday, Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter. Theresa’s other love was travel. She has traveled with her husband Tom, children, grandchildren and friends to Europe, Canada, Alaska, both coasts and destinations in between. She had a special love for Florida and enjoyed many wonderful trips there.
Theresa was proceeded in death by her parents John Donohoe and Irene Pullen Donohoe and her siblings John Donohoe Jr, Marie Richards, Joseph Donohoe, and Donald Donohoe. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Tom, children Janine (Stephen) Smith, Mark Deamos, Chris (Cindy) Deamos ,Sharon(Warren) Rhoades,eight grandchildren, Ben,Michelle, Kirk, Alex,Samantha,Jason,Andrew and Hannah and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11,2022 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W 71st St, Overland Park, KS from 9:30-10:30 am. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am. Entombment will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
