Clay Daniel Lash (Dan), 81, of De Soto, Kansas, peacefully passed away on January 18, surrounded by loved ones. Dan Lash was a man who epitomized integrity, kindness, and honesty. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who cherished family time and whose smile warmed the soul of all those around.
Dan Lash was born on July 19, 1940, to Robert and Annetta Lash in the city of Plattsburg, Missouri. He worked in the highway construction industry for over 30 years. Dan was a dedicated and hard-working individual who took pride in his craft.
In 1964, he met the love of his life Rita after being introduced to her by a mutual friend.
Dan retired in 2002 and had time to pursue his love of woodworking, yard work, a passion for cars, and working on them.
Dan was predeceased by his parents, brothers Bob and John, and daughter Melissa. He is survived by his wife, Rita; daughters Lisa Moylan (Mark), Danell Lash, and LaLani Lash; grandchildren, Audrey, Elizabeth, Cameron, Jeremy and DaRon; a great granddaughter, Jane; numerous nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
A Visitation at 10am and Service at 11am will be held Tuesday, January 25th but is limited to family members due to COVID concerns. All in attendance will be required to wear masks.
